We’ve heard you're hungry, and we're ready to serve you a ham SLAM-wich! Country Hams Puppet Slam invites local artmakers to share their innovative short-form puppetry performances and object theater! The Slam will feature performances from masterful puppeteer Keith Shubert of Toybox Theatre fame, Poose the Puppet, and your beloved hosts Amanda Card and Madeleine Hicks alongside a host of local creations. PLUS: Prior to the 1pm performance, Kindling will offer a completely free workshop from the legendary Keith Shubert starting at 11am – free and open to all! Saddle up and meet some new friends at Country Hams Puppet Slam. Puppets, songs, biscuits – who could resist?
Run time: 60 minutes with no intermission

Toybox Theatre: Essentials of Short-Form Puppetry and "What is a Puppet Slam?"
Keith Shubert, founder of Toybox Theatre, leads a one hour workshop on conscious creativity and how to generate ideas for short puppet shows intended for mature audiences. Toybox Theatre draws on more than 20 years of experience in puppetry arts and will discuss a wide variety of approaches to the craft and also easily obtainable materials to bring your piece to life. Join us for this special FREE community building workshop which will benefit not only long time puppeteers but first timers as well!
